A banned book I have read is Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
This book is about Annabel Greene a girl who everything. She was a model, a popular girl, with the perfect family. Everything starts to go wrong when her sister Whitney almost dies because of an anerxia scare. Then, when Annabel's best friend Sophie accuses Annabel of trying to sleep with her boyfriend, when he really tried to rape her, things will never be the same.
When this book is not allowed to be read people are missing out on a discriptive look in the mind of someone who has gone through many tragic events in a short amount of time. They should read it to help understand the horrible things that go on in your head once something like this happens and not only the pain you go through, but also when something good comes into your life after that, and how beneifical those things can be to help you through it.
One of the places this book is banned is Hillsborough County School system in Florida.
This book was banned because, it was said to be too intense for young adults.
The boook was banned in 2007-2008.
